Happy Commonwealth and Women’s Day!

[VIDEO] The Commonwealth of Learning a perennial advocate for women’s empowerment, did not miss the opportunity to commemorate the symbolic day of 8 March, International Women’s Day.
The Commonwealth Secretariat hosted a virtual event on 8 March in the presence of the Honorable Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs, High Commissioners and senior officials in Ottawa. The focus was on women’s leadership during the covid-19 crisis. Girls from Bangladesh, Mozambique, Pakistan and Tanzania were invited to share their stories of how their lives have been changed by the COL’s interventions under the GIRLS Inspire project. Commonwealth Day was also celebrated on this occasion and a COL song ‘Sing as One’ was broadcast on this special day.
The Global Rainbow Foundation is proud to have collaborated with the Commonwealth of Learning on various education and training sharing projects and we hope to continue to do so.
