On Saturday 30 January 2021, Global Rainbow Foundation celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi, in the presence of prestigious guests such as Her Excellency Mrs. Nandini Singla, High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Mauritius, Raouf Bundhun, former Vice-President, and Jane Constance, UNESCO Artist for Peace and GRF Ambassador.
Within this context, assistive devices sponsored by Indian companies, including the Bank of Baroda and Care Ratings, were distributed to the beneficiaries: 4 motorised wheelchairs, 5 manual wheelchairs and 1 laptop computer.
In addition, the GRF presented its Indian partners with an award at a small ceremony in its new training centre inaugurated on this occasion.
