Casting your vote during a general election is your civic duty. But to do so, your name should be registered in the Office of the Electoral Commissioner Mauritius.
The deadline to this registration exercise has been extend till the 6th August 2021.
In which cases, should you have your names registered?
– Only if you have change your address,
– Your name has been changed,
– Your name was not correctly written
– You haven’t yet been registered
– You just turn 18.
The Global Rainbow Foundation encourages people with disabilities to participate in this registration initiative.
In order to promote inclusion, braille pamphlets have been distributed to the Office of the Electoral Commissioner Mauritius so as to help visually impaired people also to understand the importance of this exercise.
Please bring the following documents along : ID Card and a recent bill as proof of address.
