Now we can say it aloud that we made it.
The launching of GRF gave so many of us to come together, to meet new friends and and many we had not met for years. I came across many nice and selfless people (Imtiaaz, Salina, Jim, Mogen, Deeyaasha, Kris, Para, Ashesh,……and the list goes on and on). Our meetings were occasions of sharing and coming together and also opportunities to awaken the slumbering and sleeping humanism in some lost vistas of our being.
One man, with a Humane ideal comes forwards and calls us all to walk the way of his dream and to set a RAINBOW in the dreary dessert of so many families who live the ordeal of having a member who is differently abled. This dream came to fruition on 30th June. Now we have to walk the dream. We need to Congratulate the one who came up with this vision. We owe this dream now. Let us tread on the noble path, hand in hand and seek others to march along with us. We need to bring greater hope and compassion , more love and caring in our society which is fast veering towards senseless follies.
We thank Mr Parsuramen for having given us all this wake up call and for roping us in this venture which is filled with abnegation and devotion. Who says that goodness is a myth. I have seen so many people with hearts overflowing with milk of human kindness in the meetings. May this glue of goodness bind us all.
I would like all of you to read this stanza from the Gitanjali, written byRabindranath Tagore.
Give Me Strength
This is my prayer to thee, my lord—strike,
strike at the root of penury in my heart.
Give me the strength lightly to bear my joys and sorrows.
Give me the strength to make my love fruitful in service.
Give me the strength never to disown the poor
or bend my knees before insolent might.
Give me the strength to raise my mind high above daily trifles.
And give me the strength to surrender my strength to thy will with love.
All of us need strength. Mr Parsuramen needs strength. Let us be Mr Parsuramen’sstrength in his endeavours.
Till the next major event, it is all the best and good luck from me.
