The Disability Legal Services (DLS) of the Global Rainbow Foundation was officially launched on Wednesday 24 February 2016. DLS has a collaboration with the Middlesex University (Mauritius) whereby year 2 and year 3 law students are selected and trained to work as interns under the legal unit.
The Global Rainbow Foundation advocates and works towards the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Through its innovative projects and initiatives it wishes to provide persons with disabilities with support and opportunities so that they can develop their potential within our society.
The Disability Legal Service (DLS) in collaboration with the Mauritius Bar Association, through Barristers who will volunteer, provides legal advice and support to Persons with Disabilities, and conduct research/comparative studies on Disability Law for challenges to discriminatory laws.
