2nd World Dyslexia Forum to be held in Brazil
Following a highly successful and acclaimed forum was held in Paris, France in
2010, Dyslexia International plans for a second installment this time to be held in
Belo Horizonte, Brazil in 2014 for two main goals: 1. How children develop linguistic
skills across different languages; and 2. How teachers can detect students who are
deficient in developing language skills and how best to teach them
Following the same format as in Paris, they will study the six major UNESCO
languages and how each is developing detection and pedagogy in their respective
regions are fairing. This will then lead to a discussion of the best methods for use.
In addition to the events in Paris, the forum will review the “Online Learning
Courses” and other learning software in pilots in a few countries and see if it is
effective and if so how it can be utilized for use around the world.
